I have worked at the intersection of quantitative methods and quantum computing, maintaining a strong commitment to the humanities and fostering connections between academia and industry. My research agenda is organized around two interconnected lines of inquiry. The first examines educational measurement in the age of AI. As generative AI transforms how students respond to assessment tasks, I investigate a fundamental question: What construct are we actually measuring? The second focuses on measurement-supported personalized learning at scale. Specifically, I study how assessment results can be translated into timely, targeted instruction so that each learner receives the support they need when it matters most.
